And, the look in his eyes. It’s like a lost fucking soul begging to be saved but at the same time, believing in all honestly that it doesn’t deserve to be saved. And, he isn’t tearing up because he’s still in hell. He’s tearing up because Lucifer says Dean isn’t real. That Sam never got back home to Dean at all. That Sam left Dean out there alone. And, he’s terrified, scared beyond belief, and it isn’t even for himself. It’s for Dean. Who might not be real. Who might still be in the real world mourning Sam. And, this home, this place Sam figured himself to be safe, is just another version of hell. You don’t understand how bad it hurts to even begin to feel what Sam might be feeling right at this moment.

oh my god that tag deserves awards as much as Jared’s acting (especially in this episode) does.
